First Preparatory Meeting for the Second Review Conference on 29 June 2020

The First Preparatory Meeting for the Second Review Conference will take place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva (Switzerland), in the General Assembly Hall on 29 June 2020 (10am-1pm and 3 p.m.-6 p.m.).

In order to comply with the maximum allowed revised occupancy of the Conference rooms, only one participant per delegation will be allowed in the room and only one seat will be made available for each State or observer organization. It will be possible to indicate an alternate to enter the room when the primary delegate leaves the room. Webcast services in all six official languages of the organization will be provided on http://webtv.un.org/ to allow those not present in the room to follow the proceedings remotely.

Requirements for in person participation:

The details of the composition of the delegation to the First Preparatory Meeting be submitted by Tuesday 23 June 18:00 CEST to the CCM Secretariat at ccm@un.org with a Note Verbale that clearly indicates the delegate who will participate in person in the meeting and any alternate.

In order to comply with tracing requirements that are part of the new COVID 19 measures, all delegates need to register in Indico regardless of whether they are already in possession of a valid UN badge at https://indico.un.org/event/32301/ at the latest by Tuesday 23 June 18:00 CEST.

Kindly note that in compliance with the arrangements contained in Notes Verbales dated 22 May and 12 June 2020 from the United Nations at Geneva addressed to all Permanent Missions, all persons physically present in the Palais des Nations are required to be free of COVID-19 symptoms and to maintain the recommended physical distancing at any time.

Moreover, all persons physically present inside the conference rooms will be required to wear a face covering mask.

More information will be made available as it becomes available.
