The Director-General signed a letter of agreement between UNOG and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, further enhancing a fruitful and collaborative relationship.

The Director-General, in his capacity as Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament and Personal Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General to the Conference, participated in presidential consultations of the Conference.

The Director-General opened the exhibition “Unfinished Business”, organized by the Permanent Mission of Australia to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The new Permanent Representative of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mr. Thongphane Savanphet, presented his credentials to the Director-General, who welcomed him as his country’s new representative to the United Nations in Geneva.

The Director-General opened the ‘Earth Dialogues’ conference, organized by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and Green Cross.

The Director-General met Mr. Garry Jacobs, Chairman, World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS), and member of the Board of the Academy, Mr. Alberto Zucconi, to discuss issues of common interest and continued collaboration.

The Director-General attended a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Ukraine, hosted by Mr. Mykola Maimeskul, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Director-General participated by videoconference in a meeting of the Senior Management Group, chaired by the United Nations Secretary-General.

The new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Italy, Mr. Maurizio Enrico Serra, presented his credentials to the Director-General, who welcomed him as his country’s new representative to the United Nations in Geneva.

The new Permanent Representative of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mr. Modest Jonathan Mero, presented his credentials to the Director-General, who welcomed him as his country’s new representative to the United Nations in Geneva.

The Director-General met with the President of the Conference on Disarmament, Ambassador Gerard Corr, Permanent Representative of Ireland, the Co-Chair of the Conference’s Informal Working Group (IWG), Ambassador Luis Gallegos Chiriboga, Permanent Representative of Ecuador and the Vice Co-Chair of the IWG, Ambassador Peter Woolcott, Permanent Representative of Australia.

The Director-General attended a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The Director-General met with Mr. Mukhisa Kituyi, Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

The Director-General attended a luncheon hosted by Mr. Alexey Borodavkin, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
