The Director-General received H.E. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan and welcomed him to the United Nations Office at Geneva.

The Director-General opened the exhibition "Dialogue interculturel, L’homme. Son habitat. Ses croyances" organized by the Permanent Mission of Romania in cooperation with the Permanent Observer Mission of the Council of Europe.

The Director-General attended a dinner hosted by H.E. Mr. Ravinatha P. Aryasinha, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Director-General participated in a briefing on the G-20 organized by the Government of Mexico.

The Director-General met Ms. Sally Fegan-Wyles, Acting Head of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

The Director-General met Mr. Alexander Likhotal, President of Green Cross International.

The Director-General attended a dinner hosted by H.E. Mr. Juan José Gómez Camacho, Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva on the occasion of the briefing by the Mexican Presidency of the G-20.

The Director-General met H.E. Mr. Moncef Baati, Permanent Representative of Tunisia to the United Nations Office at Geneva and specialized institutions in Switzerland to discuss issues of common interest.

The Director-General opened the exhibition "The Role of Cooperatives in Food Security" organized by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on the occasion of World Food Day.

The Director-General met H.E. Mr. Esen Aydogdyev, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to discuss the results of the visit of the President of Turkmenistan, H.E. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the United Nations Office at Geneva.

The Director-General accepted the “Dies Academicus” medal for UNOG, awarded by the University of Geneva.

The Director-General participated in an event marking International Day for Disaster Reduction on the theme of "Women and Girls - the [in]Visible Force of Resilience".
