The 2014 Meeting of Experts will be held in the Palais des Nations from 4 to 8 August 2014. The meeting will open at 10:00 on Monday 4 August in Room XVIII and is expected to close on Friday 8 August.
The Meeting of States Parties will be chaired by Ambassador Urs Schmid of Switzerland. In accordance with the decision of the Seventh Review Conference, the meeting will consider three standing agenda items (cooperation and assistance, with a particular focus on strengthening cooperation and assistance under Article X; review of developments in the field of science and technology related to the Convention; and strengthening national implementation), as well as the biennial item of How to strengthen implementation of Article VII.

Informal, indicative schedule
This informal, rolling, detailed indicative schedule combines details from the programme of work, with up-to-date information on side events, suggested panels for guests of the meeting, as well as a slot for the poster session. As additional information becomes available we will include proposed and confirmed contributions from States, international organizations and guests of the meeting. The Implementation Support Unit will produce a series of informal documents to assist with participating in the Meeting of States Parties. The majority of information required by anyone taking part in the meeting can be found in the Aide Memoire, including: registration and accreditation; issuance of security badges; getting to and from the meeting; additional meetings; facilities for participants; documentation; as well as sources of additional information. Perhaps also of use, are a map of the Palais des Nations, information on hotel prices in Geneva (including details of discounts for participants in meetings in the UN), and details of how to get free public transport in Geneva.
