The Acting Director-General participated in an event organized by the Permanent Mission of Denmark that focused on strategic planning and policy development, as well as the positioning of Geneva as a multilateral hub of the international community.
The Acting Director-General signed the condolence book at the Permanent Mission of South Africa, following the passing away of Nelson Mandela, former President of the Republic of South Africa.

The Acting Director-General attended a reception on the occasion of the 86th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, hosted by H.E. Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
The Acting Director-General participated in a dinner organized by H.E. Mr. Abderrazak Kilani, Permanent Representative of Tunisia to the United Nations Office and specialized institutions in Swizerland, in honour of H.E. Mr. Samir Dilou, Minister of Human Rights and Transitional Justice of Tunisia.
