Director-General Meets with Asian Group of Member States

The Director-General met with the Asian group of Member States to engage in a substantive discussion on themes of common interest. The Director-General presented the opportunities outlined in the action agenda of the Secretary-General, with a particular focus on the Geneva perspective. He highlighted the indispensable services which UNOG provides to the United Nations family – in conferencing, administration, communication, library and security – which enable more efficient work throughout the Organization. He also noted that work is underway to ensure greater efficiencies and enhance the close cooperation within the UN family in Geneva.
